wear my hair up now all the time and the recovery time wasn't too bad at all...It wasn't painful because they do it at a hospital and it's a one day surgery so you can leave about an hour after it's done. Recovery was around a week or less...i would HIGHLY recommend it! it changed my life!

Problem is, there's a massive snow storm outside, already looks like a couple of feet of snow and it's still falling hard. surgery for kids is a no-no.
But I also think you should talk to your mom about this. Try talking about how your ears make you feel. If she doesnt give you the answer you're looking for, try talking to your school counselor.
Everyone has something on their body which they'd like to improve, but surgery is not the answer.
